Hello everyone.. As you have probably read from my last post, I have been fully involved with working for the New York Sportimes. We are one week away until opening day and the season looks to be a memorable one! Our big marquee player this year is Serena Williams (Thursday, July 10th), who won her 2nd round Wimbledon match this afternoon. The season opener is against the Boston Lobsters on July 3rd at 1 pm. The 2008 WTT schedule includes 77 matches in 11 markets beginning July 3 through July 23. Five teams will advance to the WTT Championship Weekend, July 24-27 in Roseville, California. Now in its 33rd consecutive year of play, World TeamTennis is well known for introducing innovative elements to tennis. Other WTT firsts include co-ed format, cumulative and no-ad scoring, on-court coaching, Supertiebreakers, multi-colored courts and player names on back of their shirts. The unique gender-balanced team concept for WTT was created in the early 70s by League co-founders Billie Jean King and Larry King. The format used for a WTT Pro League match features teams comprised of two men, two women and a coach. Each match consists of five sets, with one set each of men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Advanta is the presenting sponsor of the WTT Pro League and the official business credit card of World TeamTennis. Here is where in the months (and hopefully years) to come, I will be talking about new projects I am working on and the direction the company is going in.

Who are you? Where did this company come from? How did I get to this website?

Well, my name is Keith Bielory. I am the founder and President of Step Up Consulting Group, Inc. (For the future, I will refer to the company as ‘Step Up’). I feel that throughout my life I have had an inexplainable passion for business and making something out of nothing. I like to find ways to make things work better, give a perspective that I feel is edgy, fresh, and from the baby boomer baby generation. I bet you have never heard that before! That’s because it’s new, I’m new, and my ideas are new… and I am going to try and take the industry by storm.

Definitely good news.. we have our first client!

Step Up has been retained by the New York Sportimes - World TeamTennis, yes one word, to help run the organization for the 2008 season. We will be in the driver’s seat handling duties such as advertising, sponsorship, and ticket sales. Please stay tuned to my next post with more info on the Sportimes.
